Colby encompasses every trait that makes the Labrador a fabulous breed of dog.  He is a handsome, mellow, easygoing boy with a heart of gold, and unwavering love and loyalty. Colby’s first love is to be near his mistress wherever she may be and whatever she maybe up to.  A very close second is Colby’s love and eagerness to retrieve and swim.  Colby has a natural instinct and talent for retrieving and will carry the dummy around with him like a child with a favorite toy, never letting it get too far away, just waiting for someone to toss it.

In July/August 2006 at the age of 7, Colby received his Rally Novice title as well as one leg toward his Companion Dog title.  These milestones were just as important to the whole Winterglen family, as they are the first title and obedience legs to be earned by Gretchen Eloise Keim and one of her dogs.  Colby has made us very proud and will continue to do so!  He enjoys the constant action of the obedience rings and gives his all to whatever is asked of him.  We will continue to pursue our obedience titles with Colby as well as further his training for hunt tests. 

Colby is a very beloved member of our family who has given us more love and memories than we could ever repay.

Colby is neutered and therefore, not available for stud service.
